LECTIO BREVIS: FRENCH GREETINGS

In French we have two major parts of greetings known as formal greeting (la salutation formelle) and informal greeting( la salutation informelle). Why? The French ratified that French language is very largest and there fore it should be taken and spoken according to its contexts so that we can avoid its pretexts.
I. Formal greeting
It called formal because it is required by the law known as French academy ( académie française). Thus it is requested upon of respect to the elders in our daily talking...
We have three models of this salutation connected to the divisions of the day:

A) In the morning: which means in french : le matin.
we say:
       °Bonjour... The answer is bonjour
Nb: bonjour (means good morning) it starts to 0h up 11h59' A.M
We use it in front of parents, elders, authorities and all unknown people... And then it is a composite of two concepts: bon and jour. So bon is qualificative adjective which means good and jour is a noun which means day. In short bonjour means: good day.

B) in the afternoon: which means in French bonne or bon après midi.
We say:
°bonne or bon après midi. The answer is bonne or bon après midi
Nb: bonne or bon après midi(means good afternoon). It starts to 12h up to 15h59' P.M. it requires the rules of bonjour. Cfr.it above.

C) in the evening: which means in French le soir.
We say:
     °bonsoir... The answer is bonsoir

Nb:bonsoir (means good evening). It starts to 16h up to 23h59' P.M. it requires the same rules of bonjour. And in short means: good evening.

Observation:
-- bonne nuit is not a greeting but a wish which means goodnight. And it is used only for married people...
-- bon someil is not a greeting but a wish which means nice, better sleep. And it is used only for single people, not married people.
-- bonne soirée is not a greeting but a wish which means a nice evening.

Dialogue:
A: bonjour mon papa: goodmorning my father
B: bonjour Mon fils: goofmorning my son

C: bon après midi maman: good afternoon mother
D: bon après midi fille: good afternoon daughter

E: bonsoir oncle: good evening uncle
F: bonsoir Frère: good evening brother

G:: ma cherie bon someil: nice sleep my friend, sweetheart
H: merci beaucoup: thank you so much

J: bonne nuit parents: goodnight parents
K: merci: thank you.
